At VIS, we are always looking for ways to inspire and engage our community in creating a more sustainable world. Recently, a group of passionate Grade 4 and 5 Green Team students, under the guidance of their teacher Ms. Maddy Peltier, has been working on a project aimed at sharing hopeful and inspiring stories about sustainability. The result of their efforts is the launch of a new webpage called “Good Things About Eco.”
This web page is dedicated to spreading positive news and actions that support a sustainable future. With the belief that focusing on the good can inspire even more good, the students select a variety of topics that showcase global efforts to protect and restore the environment. Articles on the webpage include stories such as "The Ozone Layer Is Closing Up!" and other actions being taken around the world that contribute to the health of our planet.
The Green Team’s initiative aims to highlight the progress being made in environmental conservation, providing an uplifting perspective on sustainability. Rather than focusing on challenges and setbacks, the webpage celebrates the tangible steps that individuals, communities, and nations are taking to address environmental issues, hoping to encourage our website visitors to take part in the global movement toward sustainability.
We invite the VIS community, including students, parents, and staff, to visit the webpage and explore the articles the Green Team has carefully curated. By supporting this initiative, we can all play a part in spreading positivity and taking actionable steps toward a sustainable lifestyle.
