While our students were away for the Autumn break, the VIS campus was buzzing with activity as we hosted the VISIBle International Baccalaureate (IB) Conference. Over three days, the school welcomed 209 participants from 42 different countries for a diverse range of workshops and professional development opportunities. This marks the second year in a row that VIS has had the honour of hosting this important IB conference, and it serves as a significant milestone for our school.
The conference featured 17 different workshops spanning the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). Many of the workshops were oversubscribed, reflecting the high demand for the specialised knowledge and skills offered by the sessions. Each workshop was led by certified and highly experienced IB trainers, ensuring that participants received the highest quality of learning and professional development. Additionally, two IB representatives were present to monitor workshop quality and ensure the conference maintained its high standards.
The feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive. Educators praised the depth of the content, the practical strategies shared, and the collaborative learning environment. The event strengthened our connections within the global IB educator community and generated a valuable exchange of ideas and best practices that will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on the growth of our school's academic programs.
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce that VIS will be hosting another major IB conference in February 2026. We look forward to welcoming even more educators to our campus and continuing to play an active role in the international IB network. Thank you to all who contributed to the success of this event. Your support and enthusiasm make VIS a truly exceptional place for learning and collaboration.
