The Vienna International School Board of Governors is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Antony Geralis as the new Director of our school, effective 1 April 2025. Mr. Geralis brings over 30 years of exemplary leadership and educational expertise in diverse settings in Europe and Asia. With an unwavering commitment to fostering academic excellence, equity, and inclusion, he has consistently demonstrated his capacity to lead transformative initiatives that enhance student outcomes, empower colleagues, and build thriving school communities based on open communication and mutual respect. Throughout his career, Mr. Geralis has held multiple leadership roles in prestigious institutions in dynamic and multicultural environments. He has successfully integrated various international frameworks with national curricula while obtaining authorization and accreditation from leading organizations, including the International Baccalaureate Organization and Council of International Schools. His strategic vision and ability to inspire and motivate have resulted in advancements in curriculum innovation, staff development, and student achievement.
Mr. Geralis holds advanced degrees and certifications in leadership and management from globally renowned institutions, including King’s College London, University College London, the University of Cambridge, Harvard University, and the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has also performed multiple roles as an IB educator, including senior consultant, lead educator, senior examiner, and evaluation team chair, as well as evaluation team chair for various accreditation organizations, further affirming his dedication to upholding the highest standards of international education.
